Be a tourst in your own city pt. 2
As you may remember from a long time ago, I made a blogpost about rediscovering and looking at a frequently visited place from a different perspective. The previous post was about Slovenia's capital Ljubljana, however this time, I took my analog camera to a different country, to the historically packed city of Trieste, also known as the capital of coffee. The main two reasons I usually go to Trieste are shopping and the Slovenian theatre, which are unfortunately limited to a certain part of the city. For the sake of this post and my own pleasure, I decided to also take a step further onto a tram to Opicina - a ride that more than anything took me back in time. The weather was quite wild, but given the fact that the city faces the Adriatic sea head on, and it's the middle of autumn, it was typically Triestine. To top it all off, it was the day before the infamous Barcolana regatta, which is why the city was buzzing with people and events.
Below are the photographs I managed to take before I stupidly left my camera on and let the batteries die.
Have you given your city a shot yet? How had it been?
x, Valens
I'm an advocate of exploring your own city before anything else, and I'm glad to see that there are others too who see its importance & charm. Your blog, though, gives me so much wanderlust! Subscribed. Hugs from Jersey!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy to hear that I'm not alone in this and you enjoy my blog! Thank you so much!
